The Garden Route self-catering Buff and Fellow Eco Cabins are ideally located 10 km from the George Airport, next to Glentana Beach, and close to neighborhood eateries and stores. Our opulent, eco-friendly cabins overlook the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains from the edge of a lovely dam. While unwinding in your personal wood-fired hot tub, be surrounded by buffalo and other wildlife.
Ultreya is a working buffalo farm where Buff and Fellow Eco Cabins are located. “Ultreya” is a Spanish term that was translated from the Latin root and means “Onward with Courage!” The Pilgrims frequently used it to welcome and motivate travelers! We invite you to move “Onward!” and take part in one of our many agricultural activities.
To make something special, we used old cargo containers. For couples, families, or groups of friends, we offer a choice of cabins. Pick the option that best fits you. Each cabin has a view of our lovely dam, the Outeniqua Mountains, as well as various animals like buffalo and rhinoceros.
The eco-friendly cabins, eco-pods, and eco-coconut villas, which can sleep 2 to 6 people, are available for reservation to guests.
The cabins, which have two bedrooms with two single beds each and can be converted to king-size beds upon request, are perfect for groups of friends or family. There is an outdoor shower in addition to a bath and a shower in each room’s private bathroom. Each cottage has a fully functional kitchen as well as a separate living room with a fireplace.
The eco-friendly pods, which overlook the river, are perfect for 2 people and have king-size mattresses that can be split into twin beds upon request, an en-suite bathroom with a huge bath, and an outdoor shower.
Each pod opens onto a private patio with a built-in braai area and a wood-fired hot tub, as well as a lounge room and a fully equipped kitchen.
The multi-story, distinctively made eco-coconut residences have room for 2 or 6 individuals. King-size beds and bathtubs are included in every villa’s en-suite bathrooms. Each of the villas features a cozy living room with a fireplace that leads onto a patio with braai amenities and a wood-fired hot tub. It also has a private kitchen that is fully furnished for self-catering.
The cabins have free WiFi, a garden, a BBQ area, and free private parking.
The lodge offers its visitors a hot tub (jacuzzi), a private bathroom, a lounging area, satellite TV, a fully furnished kitchen with a microwave and a refrigerator, and a patio. Some apartments have a terrace or balcony with lake views and are equipped with fishing rods and gear, a box of games and a Bluetooth speaker. Indian canoes are also available for your use at the dam.
All the Cabins are supplied with a dishwasher, cleaning supplies & equipment. Please feel free to use them to clean your cabin and let us know if you need anything else.
Should you require a daily cleaning service: A Cleaner can be supplied for a daily rate of R85.
Just to give you a kick-start on your Eco Cabin journey, we will supplied you with a few essentials:
There is a small shop in your cabin where you can buy red and white wine, craft beer, Rise coffee and other treats.
Bring your fishing gear! Our dam is full of Black Bass and other species. Strictly catch and release.
Join us every morning for a Game Drive. Experience all the magnificent animals up close. Coffee and rusks included.

We grow our own organic veggies. You are more than welcome to help yourself… just leave a tip for our gardener.
George Museum and the Outeniqua Transport Museum are both 6 km apart from the lodging. Buff & Fellow is 10 kilometers from George Airport, the closest airport.
