1. Add or Claim your listing

Take control of your business page at EcoBiz by claiming your business or creating a new listing.

You can upload photos, videos, add links to your website or social media, provide an exact location, business hours, contact details, frequently asked questions, allow reservations and bookings and much more directly from EcoBiz.co.za.

Claim your listing, and a badge will be added to mark it as official and allow you to edit it as you want.

You can generate more leads with targeted advertising on different locations of the site. You can advertise on the home page, the listing details page, the search results page or all of these.

Once discovered, customers will come to you! You can manage your advertising options through the User Dashboard.

How to Create Your EcoBiz Listing

Follow the EASY steps below to get your business listing up and running
You can create a profile first as in Step 1, or skip to Step 2 to add the listing directly from the home page
If it was already created by another user, skip to Step 6

Step 1: Create Your Profile

Your first step to creating a business listing is to create an account. If you have an existing account, you can Sign In and move to Step 2.

When creating an account, you can use your own name or create a profile for your business. Once you have created a profile, you can edit your information in the Dashboard. 

Before you have created a listing, all you will have access to in the Dashboard is your profile, bookmarked listings and reviews you have left. Make sure you complete your details fully before continuing.

Step 2: Select Your Plan

You can add a listing directly by clicking on the Add Listing button on the home page. If you have an existing profile, you can add your listing from the Dashboard after signing in.

EcoBiz offers six different pricing plans for businesses – three monthly plans and three annual plans. If you are not sure which plan to select, you can always start with the Free Plan and upgrade at any time when you need access to the additional features. 

Some businesses might require more than one listing, depending on the type of services or products they require. There are paid plans that include multiple listings, so select the one that best suits your business needs.

Step 3: Create Your Listing

EcoBiz provides an easy-to-use submission form to create and publish your business listing. You can enter your business’ important information by using our built-in Fill-o-bot which uses Google APIs to assist in getting the correct information about your business. 

Make sure you select all the Categories that apply to your business and add contact details, a business description, opening hours, tags, keywords, FAQs, menus/products, social media and website links etc*.

EcoBiz recommends that you make your listing as complete as possible, since this will help in the search results and also give more confidence to potential customers. It is vital to ensure that you add correctly formatted images, please see our Support Centre for more details. 

*Please note that certain features will only be available on certain paid plans. 

Step 4: Publish & Pay

You are almost finished with the listing process. After seeing a preview of your listing, it is time to publish and pay. Head over to your User Dashboard>Listings and select Pay.

EcoBiz has partnered with two of South Africa’s leading online payment gateways, PayFast and Paystack, to provide our users fast and secure payment. We also offer payment through global giant payment gateway, PayPal. If you pay with PayFast, Paystack or PayPal, your listing will be live* immediately after the payment has been processed. Please note that the default setting is a recurring payment. 

You can also choose to pay via Direct Bank Transfer and your listing will be activated by EcoBiz once the funds have been cleared. 

If you have a coupon code, you can also enter it during the payment process.

Once paid, a tax invoice will be emailed to the registered email account. 

*Although live, your listing will still be pending for review by our admin.

Step 5: Edit Your Listing

EcoBiz provides an easy-to-use form to edit your business listings, which can be found under User Dashboard>Listings. You edit the listing by expanding the three dots on the right of the listing and selecting Edit. 

This allows you to easily update your business information, add the latest images and much more. It is a good idea to frequently review your listing to ensure that your business information is up to date.

Make sure you are getting the most out of EcoBiz by upgrading your plan at any time from the User Dashboard. The paid plans offer numerous benefits for the management and promotion of your business as well as customer engagement and satisfaction. You can read more about the specific features of each plan here. 

 

Step 6: Claim Your Listing

The final step in listing your business is to ‘Claim’ it as your own. Once your listing is live on EcoBiz, whether you or someone else created it, you can earn the ‘Claimed badge’. This builds customers’ trust and helps to generate more leads. 

EcoBiz allows all registered users to create or claim business listings. As such, you need to submit some supporting documentation (personal details, business registration details, example invoice/receipts, images of products etc.) when claiming a listing, so that the EcoBiz team can properly review your claim. 

When you have claimed your business listing, you can take ownership thereof, add details or upgrade the plan should you wish to do so.

Step 7: Promote Your Listing

EcoBiz allows users to create and manage Advertising Campaigns to attract new customers. 

Businesses can generate more leads with targeted advertising throughout the site. The following options are available: 

Spotlight ads – displayed on the home page above the fold

Top of Search ads – appear at the top of the search results when customers search certain categories, keywords, tags etc.

Sidebar ads – appear in the listing detail sidebar
